【明报专讯】Some animation series enjoy huge success in their home countries, captivating audiences with their unique charm. Despite their enormous popularity domestically, these shows remain lesser-known in other parts of the world. The following cartoons are also dubbed in English, so why not try them out? You might have fun while training your ears to understand English!

◆India

Chhota Bheem

Chhota Bheem, first released in 2008, is an Indian animated series about Bheem. This kind, intelligent and strong boy wears traditional clothing and a red dot on his forehead. Alongside his friends, he solves problems and defeats villains. The show is available in multiple Indian languages and English. With over 450 episodes across 22 seasons, this cartoon teaches various moral values. It has become a household name among children, who are eager for its toys, books and themed parties.

◆The UK

Shaun the Sheep

Set on a farm, Shaun the Sheep follows Shaun, a clever sheep, and his adventures with other animals. The silent stop-motion animation (定格动画) uses clay characters and handcrafted props, distinct from digital animation. With 170 episodes across six seasons since 2007, it is one of Britain's longest-running animated series and has won several International Emmy Awards.

◆South Korea

Catch! Tennieping

Catch! Teenieping, a popular Korean animated series since 2020, is currently in its fifth season. Each episode follows Romi, a brave princess, as she captures magical creatures called Teenieping. With over 130 Teenieping, each with a unique name and magical powers, the show has sparked a merchandise craze. The show also led to themed parties, theme parks and even a character-based learning centre.
