只要输入4个字符，竟然就会导致苹果iPhone、平板发生崩溃当机，一名安全研究人员在infosec.exchange协作社群上贴文指出，他发现一个新bug会造成短暂当机状况。然而让人傻眼的是，这还相当简单，用户只要输入「“”::」这4个字符，就能导致程序崩溃。
据Konstantin发布的贴文，用户只要输入「“”::」（引号中的4个字符）就会导致名为「Springboad」的Apple行动用户接口崩溃，进而让iPhone与iPad出现短暂当机。经实际操作后发现，用户只要在解锁打开iPhone后的主画面上，一直向左或右滑动，直到看到「App数据库」为止，然后在画面上方的搜索栏中输入「“”::」这4个字符，就真的会引发iPhone出现1秒钟左右的黑屏当机，然后会再回到锁定画面上。

另外在infosec.exchange协作社群上，还有其他人表示，只要输入「“”:」3个字符，再加上任何其他字符都会引发当机，经实测的确也会引起当机。
不过，尽管这个字符问题会引起小小的当机，但并没有更进一步的安全疑虑。针对这个程序bug错误，目前苹果并未给出任何回应。
